Director David Ayer has revealed the first official image of Jared Leto as The Joker in Suicide Squad. Take a look at The Killing Joke homage below.

Leto’s Joker retains the chalky pigmentation, dark eyeliner, and green hair the character’s known for, but features some new tattoos, including a skull-faced Jester, and some iconic Joker imagery — including a wide smile and long strings of laughter. Additionally, you can see a series of Ace of spades, and ink reminiscent of Joker’s chattering-teeth toy on his left hand, and the usual purple glove (albeit a rubber one) on the right. Common will join Jared Leto’s Joker, we learned this week, alongside Will Smith’s Deadshot and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, with David Ayer directing. Suicide Squad is currently in production in Toronto and is set to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.

A reboot starring Howard the Duck could very well be Marvel’s next big film, according to legendary filmmaker George Lucas. Lucas, who served as executive producer on the 1986 original, believes it’s finally time the smart-mouthed space duck got another shot on the silver screen. After all, Marvel Comics wasn’t afraid to sneak him in for a surprise cameo at the very end of 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

During the the Tribeca Film Festival on Friday, as reported by THR, Lucas noted that even the biggest movie flops can “float up to the surface of the lake, and then they become cult classics.… It means you made an interesting movie or a weird movie, and a small group of people love it. “Even Howard the Duck is a cult classic,” he added to much applause from those in attendance. “I have a feeling that Marvel’s gonna redo it because of the technology they have today.”

More details about spin-off film Star Wars: Rogue One were revealed today during a panel at this weekend’s Star Wars Celebration. Star Wars: Rogue One is set after Episode 3 and before Episode 4 in an era without Jedi. Check out the concept art below, from the official Star Wars liveblog.

Star Wars: Rogue One follows a rogue band of resistance fighters who must unite to steal the Death Star plans. According to director Gareth Edwards, Rogue One aims for realism more than previous Star Wars films, with several crew members having worked on war movies like Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down, and Zero Dark Thirty. “It comes down to a group who don’t have magical powers, who somehow have to bring hope to the galaxy,” said Edwards. The footage we saw opens with December 2016 against a black background. We hear Obi-Wan’s monologue about Jedi Knights being the “guardians of peace” from A New Hope, and then see a bird’s eye view of a jungle planet.

A TIE fighter zooms overhead and the camera pushes forward to reveal the Death Star looming large in the daytime sky, right up close to the planet. Frantic mens’ voices crack over a radio as the title card reveals Star Wars: Rogue One with the word “Anthology” in small letters beneath. Here’s what we know about cast and crew: Felicity Jones will play a Rebel soldier. Neil Scanlan will head the creature team, as he did on the film Prometheus. Neil Lamont and Doug Chiang are the production designers. The film has Zero Dark Thirty’s director of photography Greig Fraser on cinematography, with Neil Corbould on special effects. Filming for Rogue One will take place in the UK and all around the world.

Star Wars: Rogue One and Star Wars Rebels are set during the same time period. “There are opportunities there,” teased panelists. Josh Trank is directing another Star Wars spin-off film, which we still have not heard any details on yet. While Trank was absent from today’s panel and couldn’t elaborate on his own plans, we do know that Rogue One and other Star Wars spin-offs will be known as Anthology Films.

It looks like, once again, the red thingy will move toward the green thingy. A TV series based on the 1999 Tim Allen/Sigourney Weaver comedy Galaxy Quest is currently in development. Variety reports that original co-writer Robert Gordon is in negotiations with Paramount Television to work on the project (which is currently being shopped around) – as are original director Dean Parisot and executive producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein. The TV version would keep the same premise as the movie – a “has-been cast of a beloved 1970s Star Trek-esque TV series inadvertently get reunited for a real space mission to help an alien race.”

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales recently resumed filming after production stopped for two weeks because Depp injured his hand and required surgery. There are roughly three more months of shooting for the Disney film, with a scheduled premiere for July 7, 2017. Along with Depp, Javier Bardem and Brenton Thwaites are starring in Pirates of the Caribbean 5, with Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning directing the movie.

Five Nights at Freddy’s, the point-and-click survival horror series from developer Scott Cawthon, is getting a feature adaptation after Warner Bros. picked up the rights. THR reports the film adaptation will be produced by Vertigo Entertainment‘s Roy Lee (Run All Night, the upcoming Poltergeist remake) along with KatzSmith Productions’ Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg (Beetlejuice 2). Jon Berg and Nik Mavinkurve are overseeing for Warners while Adam Stone and Jay Ireland will executive produce, according the report. The project is currently out to writers. “The story really lends itself to being a movie and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to,” Cawthon told the publication. “We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith. Five Nights at Freddy’s is set in a family fast food restaurant called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, where animatronic robots entertain by day and become twisted killers at night. Five Nights at Freddy’s was first released last August and the third installment launched on Windows PC just  last month. The game takes place 30 years after Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza closed its doors, with the murderous events taking place there decades ago evolving into an urban myth.
